Uncle Paul’s Christmas party booked!

We have once again booked and are off to the event on 28 November. I am hopeful that we will have a great time and certainly am looking forward to my kids reactions. If last year is anything to go by we should have a ball!

As I think about this special event, I am mindful that it is about family and spending time with and acknowledging those that are nearest to you. So to taking this thought forward…..

Ultimately, this post is really about encouraging you to take some time to talk to your family. This may sound obvious but last evening I had a chat with my wife (instigated by her) which was awesome. It was really great to hear her say that I should not keep everything to myself. Typical guy thing of hoarding all of the information, out of some misguided feeling that you need to “protect them” and not add any “pressure”.

Gents (and ladies for that matter) you need to invest time in talking about the issues you are facing, you may just be amazed by the outcome! I am therefore committing, in one of the most open forums I know, to making this a regular date!

Shot Wifey – I know that you will be reading this, but hey I thought it would benefit others as well! – I honour you for who you are and what you have achieved, you are a remarkable woman.
