The Running Commentary

Nokia e90 two months in…..

nokiae90communicator_top.gifIt has now been two months since I have had my Nokia e90. I have had the privilege in this time to do some significant travelling and hence tested the effect on battery given that I needed to remain in contact with my business. As mentioned before I have loaded the Exchange Server software and this stood me in great stead. Even in roaming mode everything worked exactly as it should.

The battery lasted on average two days between charges and this was despite the fact that I received and made a number of calls a day, my sync for exchange server happened very 30 minutes for at least 12 hours a day (7am to 7pm). The plus is that calls did not interfere with any of the services that I had running.

Probably one of the best things is the fact that since returning, our Information Manager at the office has recently got one and after installing the Exchange Server function reckons that we do not need the expense of installing Blackberry enterprise server.

I have also run a software upgrade in termsĀ of the improved GPS functionality and following the Nokia instructions completed the upgrade and had my phone fully set-up the way it was before within 35 minutes.

I guess you could say that I am still very much in favour of this great device.
