The Running Commentary

Hamilton silences his critics!!

The British Grand Prix today was a definitive race for Hamilton. He comprehensively out drove the rest of the field. This despite the tactical error by Ferrari when they elected not to change the tyres of Kimi’s car at the first pit stop. I am convinced though that Lewis demonstrated his ability in the wet and that even had Ferrari made the change, Kimi would still not have been able to compete in the wet.

I believe that Lewis and the team from Mclaren truly lifted their game.

Certainly adding some rain to proceedings made the race extremely exciting.

What is really exciting is that the result has left the title challenge wide open with three leaders (Hamilton, Raikkonen and Massa) on the board tied at 48 with 2 others hot on their heals. This will hopefully turn out to be the season that most formula one enthusiasts have waited for, maybe we can see a three way tie going into the final race of the season?
